Murder bid on youth : Cops arrest 4 including 3 minors

 Kasargod, Aug 17, 2013 :  The Kasargod police have arrested four persons including three minors on charges of attempting to kill a youth  at Uliyathadka near here. The arrests were made on August 16, Friday at Chettunguyi.

The four had reportedly attacked Vijesh (17) from Lakshaveedu colony in Uliyathadka  on August 10 when he  was returning home from work. The name of one of the accused is Abdul Ashfaq(19, while the names of the minors have  not been revealed. They have been produced before the juvenile court. Ashfaq  was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Vijesh who sustained critical injuries due to stabbing is admitted to a hospital in Mangalore.  Police have also recovered the weapons used by the assailants  from a bush close by the place where the attack took place.

It is learnt after attacking Vijesh the four were in hiding in a lodge at Ernakulam. A communal rivalry is learnt to be the cause of the attack. Police suspect the involvement of some more persons behind the attack.
