Mangalore, Dec 1, 2013: The muhurat of tulu film ‘Ekka Saka’, by Lakumi Cine creations Mangalore was held at at Vajradehi Math, Gurupur on Dec 1, Sunday.
Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Participating as the chief guest, Harish Sherigar, the businessman of Dubai and the singer clapped for the movie.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that These days the Tulu films are losing their originality and so fails to attract the viewers. In making a good tulu movie it should come out from the drama touch, he added.
Former president of Tulu Sahitya Academy Seetharam Kulal said that Lakumi team is encouraging the artists and promoting the art, this team headed by Lion Kishore D are contributing a lot to the Tulu theatre. The film Ekka saka will be the first gift to Tulu film industry by the Lakumi team and I wish this film should complete 200 days and create a history in Tulu film industry.
The former president of Tulu Sahitya Academy, Umanath Kotyan and businessman Shekhar Shetty Tenjemane were the chief guests.
Film producer Ln. Kishore D Shetty, co-producer Girish Shetty, Chandrahas Shetty, director K. Suraj, artists Bhojaraj Vamanjuru, Aravind Bolar, Sathish Bandale, Ravi Surathkal, Hitesh Naik and Sonal Padil were present at the occasion.
