Minister of State for Railways visits Suratkal Railway Station

Mangalore, Aug 10, 2013: Shri Aadhir Ranjan Choudhuri, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways, visited Suratkal Railway Station under Konkan Railway Corporation and then proceeded to inspect Panambur Station of Palakkad Division on 9th August 2013.

Minister later held discussions with Shri Bhanu P. Tayal, Managing Director of M/s.Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., and with Shri Piyush Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, Palakkad Division, at Mangalore.

Before leaving, the Union Minister inspected the maintenance and cleanliness of office of Station Manager, Waiting Rooms and Platforms of Mangalore Central Station. He also met passengers at the Station and inquired about the amenities provided to them at Mangalore Central Railway Station, before returning to Mumbai by a special train on 10th August 2013.

V. Sudheesh, senior Divisional Operating Manager, P. A. Dhananjayan, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and other Senior Officers of Palakkad Railway Division were present.
