Manipal: 3 including student arrested for drugs peddling

Udupi, June 15, 2023: Police have on June 14, Wednesday arrested three persons including a student on the charges of drugs peddling. Ganja weighing 1.5 kg and worth Rs 75000 has been seized from them.
Police raided an apartment in Herga and arrested Shashank (24), a student of MIT and Adil (36) from Karkala who is suspected to be a drug peddler. During this raid cops recovered 300 grams ganja. Later based on the information provided by Adil, the police took into custody Naushad (27) on the Hiriadka-Karkala road and seized 1.1 kg ganja from him.
Interrogations revealed that both Adil and Naushad were in touch with Imran Khan who resides in Muscat. It is believed Khan was the kingpin of the racket and was involved in drugs peddling in Uppala of Kasargod.
