Mangaluru: Two inter-state accused arrested in two-wheeler theft case

Mangaluru, Dec 2, 2025: Police from Kankanady City Police Station have arrested two inter-state accused in connection with the theft of two two-wheelers parked near Naguri and the Jeppinamogaru temple.

The arrested accused are Alex Dominic (25), a resident of Ottathayi in Vellad, Kerala, and Amal Krishna (25), a resident of Kurachoor in Kozhikode.

The duo had arrived in Mangaluru on November 14. After roaming around the Mangaluru Railway Junction area, they stole a scooter parked near the Naguri bus stop and another scooter parked near the Adimaye Temple in Jeppinamogaru. A case had been registered at the Kankanady City Police Station in this regard.

On November 30, after receiving information about their arrival in Mangaluru, the police arrested Alex Dominic and Amal Krishna and recovered two stolen scooters along with two mobile phones used in the crime. The total value of the seized items is estimated at ₹1.23 lakh.

According to the police, a case related to drug peddling is already registered against Alex at the Alakode Police Station in Kerala, while Amal Krishna has theft cases registered against him at the Thalassery and Kurachoor police stations.
