Mangaluru, July 21, 2025: Due to the recent heavy rains, the connecting road between the KIOCL Junction and the Kuloor arch bridge on National Highway 66 has been severely damaged. To carry out repair work, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to suspend vehicular movement on the bridge from 8 PM on July 21 to 8 AM on July 24.
The road has become unsafe for public and vehicular movement. Although minor repairs have been carried out from time to time, continuous rainfall has led to repeated damage. As asphalting is currently not feasible, NHAI will be repairing the paver blocks instead.
The NHAI has appealed to the public and motorists to cooperate during this period.
