Mangaluru police issue strict guidelines and security measures for New Year celebrations

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2025: The police department has already issued guidelines for New Year celebrations, and Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy has ordered that all event organizers and the general public must strictly follow these guidelines.

The guidelines are as follows:

No public celebrations will be allowed without prior permission.

Celebrations must be conducted responsibly so that there is no inconvenience or harassment to the public.

Incidents such as overspeeding, wheeling, indecent behavior, and public nuisance in the name of celebration will be taken seriously.

Extensive security arrangements have been made across the city. PCR vehicles, highway patrol vehicles, picketing points, check posts, and round-the-clock patrol duties have been assigned to officers and personnel. In addition, KSRP, SAF, and CAR platoons have been deployed at sensitive locations.
