Kadaba: Tempo collision claims life of Kasargod-based teacher

Kadaba, Dec 30, 2025: A pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a goods tempo at Athur on the afternoon of December 29.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Khader Sakhafi (53), a resident of Sunkadakatte in Kadaba. He was working as a teacher at a religious institution in Kasargod.

Khader had arrived in Athur with his family to attend a relative’s madarangi ceremony. After getting down from a bus on the Uppinangady–Subrahmanya state highway, he sent his family ahead in an autorickshaw and proceeded on foot towards the venue. At that time, a goods tempo allegedly rammed into him.

He was immediately rushed to the Puttur Government Hospital by local residents, but doctors declared him brought dead.

Kadaba police have registered a case and have taken up further investigation.
