Mangaluru–Muscat direct flight to resume from March 2026: MP Kota Srinivas Poojary

New Delhi/ Udupi, Feb 14, 2026: Udupi–Chikmagalur Lok Sabha MP Kota Srinivas Poojary said on Friday that Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu has assured him that Air India will launch a direct flight between Mangaluru and Muscat from March 2026.
Poojary said the minister informed him that Air India had earlier operated a direct service on this route, which was discontinued in July 2025 due to commercial reasons. The airline has now decided to resume the service, and bookings for the route have already been opened, he said in a post on X.
Earlier, Poojary had urged the minister to intervene and persuade Air India to restart the direct Mangaluru–Muscat flight.
