Mangaluru: Illegal cattle transportation busted; 35 animals rescued

Mangaluru, 22, 2026: In a swift operation, police intercepted a container lorry near the Mangaluru-Padavu highway and uncovered an alleged case of illegal cattle transportation. Acting on credible information provided by Bajrang Dal activists, the Kadri police launched a surprise operation and successfully stopped the vehicle.
Upon inspection, officials found that as many as 35 cattle were being transported in the container under suspected illegal circumstances. The animals were rescued, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the origin, destination, and those involved in the transportation.
Police are probing the case.
