Mangaluru: Congress protests against Manipur violence

Mangaluru, July 31, 2023: Mangaluru South Assembly constituency unit, South Block unit and City Block units of the Congress staged a protest in front of the Mini Vidhana Saudha in the city on July 31, Monday to condemn the violence and continuing atrocities on women in Manipur.

 

Party leaders who addressed the protestors said the continuing violence in Manipur reflected the failure of the Manipur government as well as the Centre. They also deplored the silence of the Prime Minister on Manipur violence.

Referring to the Udupi washroom video case, the leaders while stressing the need for thorough probe accused the BJP of trying to disrupt harmony over the issue.
