Mangaluru, Feb 14, 2026: In a major operation, the Mangaluru CCB police arrested three persons who had allegedly procured the banned narcotic substance MDMA from Bengaluru with the intention of selling it in the city.
Acting on credible information that the accused had purchased MDMA in Bengaluru and were selling it to the public and students in Mangaluru city from a grey Swift car in the Talapady area of Ullal taluk, the CCB police traced the vehicle and apprehended the trio while they were in possession of the contraband.
The arrested have been identified as Mustafa Seediyabba, Maiyaddi, and Mohammed Shifan. From their possession, police seized 118.13 grams of MDMA worth Rs 11,90,000, four mobile phones, and a grey Swift car bearing registration number KA-19-MQ-3420. In total, properties worth Rs 17,95,000 were confiscated.
A case has been registered at Ullal Police Station. It is learnt that accused Mustafa Seediyabba was previously involved in a cattle theft case registered at Kankanady Town Police Station, while Maiyaddi has a prior assault case registered within Ullal Police Station limits.
Police said several others are suspected to be involved in the drug sale and trafficking network, and further investigation is underway. Officers and staff of the CCB unit took part in the operation.
