Mangaluru, Mar 31, 2026: With work underway on a new bridge over the stormwater drain near TMA Pai Hall on the busy MG Road, city police have announced traffic diversions from March 30 to May 30.
During this period, traffic will be allowed only in one direction from Lalbagh to PVS Junction. Vehicles moving from PVS toward Lalbagh must take designated alternative routes.
Diversion details:
Private service buses: Kottara Junction – KPT Junction – Battagudda – Bejai – Pio Mall Road – Jail Road – PVS
Private city buses: Kottara – Ladyhill – Lalbagh – KSRTC – Bejai – Pio Mall Road – Jail Road – PVS
Goods vehicles: Kottara – Ladyhill – Mannagudda – Durga Mahal – New Chitra – Balaji Junction
Private luxury buses: Kottara – KPT – Nanthoor – Shivabagh
KSRTC general/express buses: KSRTC stand – Bejai Church Road – Pio Mall (Tandoor Bar) – Karangalpady (left turn)
KSRTC Volvo/Rajahamsa: KSRTC stand – Bejai – Battagudda – KPT
Cars/two-wheelers: From Lalbagh via Ballalbagh, turn right toward Durga Mahal or take Ballalbagh–TMA Pai Hall stretch via Pattumudi Cross Road, GG Road, and Vishal Nursing Home
No-parking zones:
Parking is banned on both sides from Bejai Junction to PVS via Jail Road, and from Tandoor Hotel to Karangalpady Junction. Restrictions also apply along PVS–Lalbagh, Lalbagh–Mannagudda, and Kodialguthu Cross to Kodialguthu Junction. Vehicles from Bejai on Pio Mall Road cannot turn right toward Kodialguthu Cross Road.
