Mangalore : Drug peddler nabbed at Lalbagh

Mangalore, Oct 11, 2013: A drug peddler who was selling ganja by targeting students and youth was nabbed at Nehru Avenue Road, Lalbagh on October 10, Thursday by officials of the Narcotics Drugs Cell (NDC).


The arrest followed a tip off and the operation was led by CID DySP K Tilakchandra.

The arrested man is Manikanta alias Mani(26) from Devinagar, Kavoor.  Nearly 650 grams of ganja was seized from him. Interrogations of Manikanta revealed that he was supplied ganja by one Madoor Nazeer from Manjeshwar and that he used to sell it in Lalbagh, Ballalbagh areas.

The accused has been entrusted to the custody of Barke police who are now investigating the case.
