Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Dec 28, 2012: CPI(M) workers staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Mangalore on December 28, Friday, condemning the police lathi charge against the CPI(M) activists who were on a padayatra  demanding a ban on Made Snana at Kukke Subrahmanya Temple and Pankti Bedha in Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt.

Addressing the protestors, CPI(M) District President  B Madhava  demanded that the government banned such evil practices instead of lathi charging peaceful protestors. Governments which encourage such superstitious practices have no right to remain in power, he said.
