Man arrested at Kadri for unauthorizedly possessing pistol

Mangaluru, April 04, 2023: Kadri police have on April 3, Monday arrested a man who was found in possession of a pistol unauthorisedly.

The arrested man is Shishir. He was residing in a rented house on George Martis Road in Kadri police station limits. The seized pistol also had a bullet.

 

The arrest was made on the basis of the complaint lodged by the house owner. It is learnt, Shishir was staying in that house since five months.

During interrogation, he told the police that the pistol was given by a friend Andrew Rodrigues.

Police have gathered that Rodriques was an accused in a case of murder of a person named Kumar at Hampankatta in 2014 and was absconding since then.

A lookout notice was also issued against him. Though he was once arrested at Goa by the local police and then brought to Mangaluru, he had gone absconding after securing bail from the court.
