Mangaluru, Jul 31, 2021: "Banking has seen lot of changes over the year. We tried nationalisation. Now we are trying amalgamation and privatisation. We have introduced digital banking so that customers can sit at home do their banking", said Sri Yogish Acharya, GM and Zonal Head, Canara Bank, Mangalore. He was addressing the Bankers’ Day Celebrations organised by Lions Club Mangalore at Lions Seva Mandir, Mangalore on 30th July 2021.

"Today banking has become super market. Apart from banking we are also selling insurance etc. The day may come when we sell grocery too. In today’s scenario we need good products, good process and good people for the success of banking" she said. Former CMD of IOB Sri M Narendra felicitated the bankers. Lions Club Mangalore is the first Lions Club of Mangalore City having 63 years of history is inthe forefront of doing service activities to the needy, said Sri B.
