MLA Vedavyas Kamath deplores govt decision to scrap NEP

Mangaluru, August 21, 2023: Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath has deplored the decision of the Karnataka Government to cancel National Education Policy in Karnataka from the next academic year.

He said the decision of the government was not in the interest of the students. He said the Union Government implemented the National Educational Policy with the larger objective of brining reforms in the nation’s educational system and that the policy was framed after extensive consultations.

He further said it was not right on the part of the Congress government in the state to resort to politics on the issue and urged the government against cancelling NEP in the state.
