Mangalore, Dec 21, 2011 : M. Praveen Kumar of Hubli has bagged the Pilikula Open Trophy, having won the 13th Pilikula Golf Tournament played on the Pilikula Golf Course last weekend. The runner up was Col. Rajesh Parman of Bangalore.

 

The winner and the runner up of the 0-10 net stroke play were Vivek Machaiah and Lt. Col. Anthony Roche, respectively. The winner and the runner up of the 11-18 net stroke play were Aaron and A. Shreenivasan, respectively.

 

Pilikula Golf

 

Vivek Machaiah of Chickmagalur and Antony Roche of Mangalore won the stroke play event for players with 0 – 10 handicaps. Master Aaron of Mangalore and A. Shreenivasan of Hubli were the winner and the runner up of the same event for players with 11-18 handicaps. 

P. B. Thimmaiah of Kodagu and Ramanand Shetty of Bangalore were the winner and the runner up of the same event for players with 19 – 26 handicaps, respectively. The winner and the runner up of the Stableford event for players with handicaps below 18 were Eugene Rent of Mangalore and Sandeep Rai of Mangalore, respectively.

The winner and the runner up of the Stableford event for players with handicaps 19 – 26 were Major General Mitra of Bangalore and H. K. Poojary of Mangalore.

Chelsea of Mangalore was the winner of the Ladies Stableford event while Master Aaron and Shrikanth Rai of Mangalore won the doubles net stroke play event.

Rajesh Parman of Bangalore won the largest number of Eagles and Birdies trophies. Vivek Machaiah won the trophy for Closes to Pin on Hole No. 4. The inter-club trophy between Pilikula Golf Club and Mercara Downs was played by the hosts. Badruddin of the host club won the Caddies Trophy.

Anwar Manippady, the chairman of the Karnataka State Minorities Commission, gave away the trophies.
