Mangaluru, April 20, 2024: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan who is also is the District Magistrate has issued an order enforcing Prohibitory orders across the district from 6 pm on April 24 till 10 pm on April 26 in order to maintain law and order during the Lok Sabha elections.
During this period all processions, meetings are banned and people are not allowed to move in groups of five or more. Also no one must move around with weapons or sharp objects.
On the day of voting, no posters or banners for campaign can be used in a radius of 200 meters of the polling booths.
Anyone violating orders will face legal action, the DC has said.
