Mangalore, Jan 17, 2012 : The 17th edition of the National Youth Festival (NYF), which was held for the past 5 days at various venues across Mangalore, witnessed a magnificent end, featuring fabulous performances by Kudroli Ganesh, the widely acclaimed magician, and Vasundhara Das, the popular singer.

 

During the past five days, young people from all over India participated in a wide range of competitive and non competitive events. The NYF featured performances by Colonial Cousins, Euphoria, and an instrumental fusion by Pravin Godkhindi, Kadri Gopalnath, and Sivamani. The valedictory ceremony of NYF, held yesterday, featured attractive performances by Kudroli Ganesh and Vasundhara Das.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kudroli Ganesh and his team presented an awesome combination of magic and folk art through a traditional dance, which had attracted a great deal of attention on the reality show India’s Got Talent.

 

Vasundhara Das then entertained the audience with a number of popular numbers and got them so excited that they began singing, dancing, and screaming with her. She presented popular numbers such as Santoshakke Haadu, Kolaveri Di, Gaalipata, Shakalaka Baby, Roobaroo, and others. She closed her performance with the number It’s the Time to Disco, during which the entire crowd got up and started dancing.

Both Kudroli Ganesh and Vasundhara Das were honored on the occasion.
