Kasaragod: Schoolgirl dies after scooter crashes into wall

Kasaragod, Nov 7, 2025: A tragic accident occurred at Pookatte in Kumbla on Thursday morning when a scooter lost control and crashed into a roadside wall, resulting in the death of a schoolgirl.
The deceased has been identified as Riswana (15), daughter of Razak and Ramshina, residents of Bambraana Choorithadka.
The mishap took place when Riswana and her friend were on their way to tuition classes on a scooter. Both were rushed to the Kumbla Seva Cooperative Hospital immediately after the accident. As Riswana had sustained severe injuries, she was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru, but she succumbed to her injuries.
Kumbla police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
