Kapu: DJ Marvin dies as car overturns near Muloor; three others injured

Kapu, Aug 23, 2025: A tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning near Hallimane Hotel in Muloor when a car traveling from Belman to Karkala overturned while attempting to avoid a dog.
Renowned DJ and event host Marvin sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. Three others—Prajwal from Belman, and Prasad and Vignesh from Karkala—were injured in the mishap.
Marvin, the deceased, was a popular master of ceremonies and an active member of the Rotary Club.
The injured were immediately shifted to a private hospital in Udupi with the assistance of ambulances from Muloor and Uchila. Locals, including Jalaluddin alias Jallu, Hameed Uchila, K.M. Siraj, Anwar Koteswara, along with police personnel, helped in the rescue operation.
A case has been registered at Kapu Police Station, and further investigation is in progress.
