Jeppu parish gets ready for grand finale of Wilfy Memorial singing contest

Mangalore, Nov 23, 2012: The organizing committee of the Wilfy Rebimbus Memorial Inter Parish Contest is gearing up for the grand finale of this inter-parish singing competition, which is scheduled to be held on the Jeppu Church grounds on the evening of Nov 25, Sunday.

The 45 singers who are taking part in the event will sing Wilfy Rebimbus’ popular numbers. Besides, the parishioners will be presenting a wide range of entertainment programs.

The qualifiers for the grand finale were held early this month, and among the parishes that qualified for this event were Bejai, Cascia, Bondel, Milagres, Puttur, Urwa, Shirva, Valencia, and Vamanjoor.

The grand finale is expected to be a tough fight among the 11 parishes. Francis Richard D’Souza, Dr. Prashanth Raj, and Fr. Denis D’Sa will judge the event.
