HJV flays local leaders for insulting Kemaru Mutt swamiji

Mangalore, Nov 16, 2012: The Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) condemned certain local people of Dharmasthala for allegedly insulting Esha Vittala Dasa Swamiji of Kemar Mutt, who had demanded a CBI probe in the rape and murder of 17-year-old Sowjanya.

Satyajith Suratkal of HJV said that some people, under the banner of Dharmasthala Nagarikaru, have insulted the Kemar Mutt swamiji.

Recently, the swamiji had demanded a CBI probe into not only the death of Sowjanya, but also 54 other mysterious deaths in the locality.

Mr. Suratkal said that GP President Keshava Belal, GP Member Shrinivas Rao, and Dhanakeerthi Arige, under the banner of Dharmasthala Nagarikaru, issued a public statement at the Belthangady taluk that was insulting to the swamiji. They had stated that the swamiji had vested interests and was demanding a CBI probe for publicity, he added.

Stating that the HJV strictly condemns this statement, he flayed the local leaders for not supporting the swamiji who is fighting for a good cause.

He also said that the HJV demands proper investigation of this case, adding that it must be handed over to the CBI. He also demanded strict action to be taken against the three local leaders for insulting the swamiji in public.
