Goan troupe presents musical concert Goem Gaita

Mangalore, July 2, 2012 : The Goan troupe Naad Brahma presented Goem Gaita, a musical concert, at Kalaangan on July 1, Sunday, as a tribute to Konkani poets and writers.

Ronald Colaco, NRI entrepreneur and chief sponsor of the concert, released Steven Quadros Permude’s “27 Kavita,” an anthology of poems. He also announced that he will sponsor six more monthly theatres, organized by Mandd Sobhann, in the near future.

Mandd Sobhann also announced that Konkani Jagotik Songhottan in collaboration with Konkani Sahithya Academy will host the Vishwa Konkani Manyata Divas on Aug 20. The organizers will hold a number of contests for people of all age groups and those interested in taking part should apply before Aug 18.

The Naada Brahma troupe, which comprises Premananda Veluskar, Dilip Naik, Madhumita Mahatme, and others, presented a concert that lasted 2 hours.
