Funeral of Muscat mishap victim Lancelot D’Souza held at St Rita Church

Mangalore, Jan 2,2013: The funeral of Lancelot D’Souza a resident of Jeppu Bappal, who met a tragic end in a mishap at Muscat on December 23, was held at St Rita Church, Cascia on January 2, Wednesday in the presence of family, friends and hundreds of well-wishers. Parish priest Fr Vincent Menezes conducted the funeral Mass.

Sharun D’Souza, the nephew of Lancelot too had died reportedly of asphyxiation along with Lancelot after the coal they burnt in their room to bear with the chill, resulted in thick smoke, at Muscat on December 23. The funeral of Sharun will be held at Ranipura Church on Wednesday evening.

The bodies of the two arrived in Mangalore on December 29 night. If Lancelot is survived by his wife Gracy and two daughters, Sharun has left behind his parents Lawrence D’Souza and Mary D’Souza, sister and two brothers.
