Foundation stones laid for several projects at Pilikula Nisargadhama

Mangalore, July 1, 2012: Pilikula Nisargadhama organized the foundation stone laying ceremony for several projects in the presence of prominent citizens such as N. Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker of the state legislative assembly; J. Krishna Palemar, MLA for Mangalore North; and Abhayachandra Jain, MLA for Mulki – Moodubidri. 

J. Krishna Palemar laid the foundation stone for the Aviary Project in Shivaram Karanath Biological Park and the Aquarium Project at Pilikula Boating Centre.

Abhayachandra Jain inaugurated the X-ray Section in the Biological Park. 

N. Yogish Bhat inaugurated the Herberium and Botanical Museum in Pilikula Science Centre. Viewing the collection of rare plants at the centre, he spoke on how to collect and conserve plant species. 

Dr. N. S. Channappa Gowda, DC of DK; Dr. Harish Kumar, commissioner of Mangalore City Corporation (MCC); J. R. Lobo, executive director of Pilikula Nisargadhama; Yashwanthi Alva, ZP member; K. Harish Kumar, member of Mangalore TP; Umesh J, president of Moodushedde GP; Corporator Bhaskar Moily; and many others were also present.
