New Delhi, April 11, 2013 : Union Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily has assured that the state run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), will ensure maximum possible help including compensation to the families of the victims of the ghastly LPG tanker tragedy near Uppinangady.
Even those who have lost their houses and shops as well as the injured will get help, the minister promised.
Moily said he has already spoken to the DC of Dakshina Kannada district in this regard and has asked for a proper assessment of the damage to properties so that a justifiable compensation is provided.
The Minister said HPCL will offer all assistance to reconstruct the houses destroyed in the mishap. He said the oil companies have been asked to set up the much needed Quick Response Centre which can come to aid at times of any eventuality on the Bangalore-Mangalore highway.
The centre proposed to be set up near Gundia has been pending implementation since long.
Mr minister...we know elections are ahead....good chance to spill out what ever good comes out of your mouth....did any nonsence speaking leaders know what has happened to the aircraft victims...you people better shut ur mouth then give fault promise and fool the people
