Engineering student commits suicide in Sullia

Sullia, Jan 3, 2012: An engineering student hanged herself on the morning of Jan 3 Tuesday. 

The deceased Vanitha Garugunja is a student of KVG Engineering College and daughter of Garugunja Bojappa Gowda of Kallappalli.

Vanitha and her younger sister, who is also a college student, stayed in a rented house at Parivarakana. On the morning of Tuesday, Vanitha’s sister went to college and Vanitha, who was left alone at home, killed herself. 


On Monday, she had taken sleeping tablets and had to be treated in hospital. 


The reasons for Vanitha’s suicide are not known. A case has been registered at the Sullia Police Station.
