Dr. R. Ganesh receives Aerya Award 2012

Mangalore, Jan 3, 2011: The Aerya Award of 2012 was conferred on Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh at an award ceremony in the auditorium of Canara College on Jan 3 Tuesday. 

Dr. M. Prabhakar Joshi delivered the felicitation speech in which he spoke of the difficulties involved in giving a proper introduction to Dr. R. Ganesh in a short time because of his great achievements.

 

Aerya Lakshminaraya Alva delivered the introductory address. S. S. Kamath, the vice president of Canara High School Association, presided. 

R. Ganesh was felicitated with a shawl, a bowl of fruits, a memento, and a cash price of Rs. 10,000. 

In his acceptance speech, R. Ganesh said that he had accepted this award because he is a follower of Sanathana Dharma. Further, he said that work should be done with joy in order to make it easy and added that all work done with love will be remembered. He advised the audience to work calmly in order to lead a stress-free life. 

T. Indira was the MC of the event while Rekhadevi proposed the vote of thanks. 

Convener M. Sudhir Pai Maroor, Organizer Dr. G. N. Bhat, and Honorary Secretary M. Ranganath were also present.
