Sadananda Gowda, the chief minister of Karnataka, will arrive at Mangalore from Shimoga by helicopter on Jan 16 at 2:30 p.m. to participate in the valedictory ceremony of the 17th National Youth Festival (NYF), which is scheduled to be held at 4:30 p.m. The CM will spend the night in Mangalore. 


On Jan 17, he will visit Taravadumane in Devaragunda in Sullia, after first landing at Kodialbail Mahatma Gandhi Malnad High School Ground in Sullia, to participate in the Rakteshwari and Shri Vishnumurthy Daiva Kola. Devaragunda is the CM’s native place, and some of the older members of his family had offered prayers to the daivas there before he became the CM. He will return to Mangalore at 3:00 p.m. 


He will then participate in the felicitation ceremony organized in honor of the pontiff of Shiroor Mutt at 8:00 p.m. at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Mantap in Car Street in Udupi. At 9:00 p.m., he will attend the centenary program of Udupi Cooperative Town Bank Limited and will spend the night in Udupi. 


The CM will participate in the Paryaya Festival, during which Shri Vishwavallabha Teertha Swamiji of Sode Mutt will ascend the Paryaya throne, between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Jan 18. 


At 9:30 a.m. on Jan 18, he will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of a residential complex in Udupi.
