Corporation Bank donates Rs One crore to Uttarakhand Relief Fund

Mangalore, Aug 23, 2013: Corporation Bank, the premiere public sector bank has donated Rupees One Crore to the Chief Ministers’ Relief Fund–Uttarakhand for relief and rehabilitation of the people of Uttarakhand State which was recently hit by unprecedented deluge.

The donation cheque was handed over to Vijay Bahuguna, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand by B K Srivastav, Executive Director of the Bank at Dehradun, recently.
 

As a part of fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibilities and as a responsible corporate citizen, the Bank has initiated several welfare measures aiming at the underprivileged sections of the society in fulfillment of its commitment to social priorities.

As the bounden duty to extend support for the relief and rescue operations as well as to mitigate the sufferings of the affected fellow countrymen, Corporation Bank has risen to the occasion and has donated to the Chief Ministers’ Relief Fund towards the cause of the affected in Uttarakhand, said a press communiqué from the Bank.
