Mangalore , July 30, 2012 : District-in-charge Minister C. T. Ravi, on July 29, Sunday, criticized attempts to politicize the resort attack issue. Addressing reporters at a press meet in Circuit House, the district-in-charge minister said that the police department will take the required steps to prevent such things from happening in future. Stating that eight people have already been arrested and that many more will soon be arrested, he said that each of the accused will be properly punished for his crimes.

Stating that Talibani type of attacks will no longer be tolerated in a state that has law-enforcement agencies such as the police department to deal with crime and illegal activities, he said that the attack on partying students at the resort will be thoroughly investigated.

Revealing details about the licensing of Morning Mist Home Stay, he said that it was only registered as a house and was not included in the tourism department. Stating that the owner of the resort is now absconding, he said that the police will investigate the home stay too.
