Byndoor: Container lorry rams Khambadakone bridge on NH 66, major mishap averted

Byndoor, Oct 3, 2025: A major accident was narrowly avoided when a container lorry rammed into a bridge at Khambadakone on National Highway 66 on Wednesday, October 2.
The impact was so severe that the vehicle was at risk of plunging into the river below. However, the lorry came to a halt on the bridge itself, sparing the driver and cleaner from serious danger.
The container lorry was heading from Mangaluru towards Goa when the incident took place.
