Belthangady: Duo arrested for house burglary; 106 grams gold seized

Belthangady, May 6, 2025: Punjalakatte police have arrested two persons in connection with a case of house burglary.
Those arrested are Shivaraj alias Shivakeri (32) of Maloor in Hassan and Santosh (26) of Kannur in Mangaluru.
They were arrested in connection with the burglary in the house of Vasanthi Hegde of Maladi on April 20 wherein jewellery worth Rs 13.72 lakhs and a cash of Rs 30,000 was stolen.
A complaint was lodged at Punjalakatte police station. Police have recovered 106 grams of stolen jewellery from the duo.
