Belthangady, Feb 14, 2026: Police in Dharmasthala have arrested an accused who had been absconding after failing to appear in court in connection with a robbery case reported from Rekhya village.

The arrested individual has been identified as Nanjunda Magadi, police said.


Robbery


According to officials, Nanjunda Magadi was an accused in a robbery case registered at the Dharmasthala Police Station in 2017 (Crime No. 65/2017) under Sections 397, 395 read with 34 of the IPC. He had reportedly been absconding and evading court proceedings for nearly five years.

The accused was traced and arrested from Giddenahalli in Bengaluru and was produced before the court on February 13. The court subsequently remanded him to judicial custody.
