Bantwal, April 17, 2024: A woman has ended her life by jumping into the Netravathi river  right in front of her father and daughter at Farangipete on Tuesday.

The deceased is Yashoda. It is learnt Yashoda who was suffering from epilepsy used to often become angry and engage in a quarrel in a fit of rage. This habit of her had led to her husband deserting her ten years ago.

On the night of April 15, she had  quarrelled with her mother. The next day Yashoda who had gone for work had telephoned her family members to state she was ending her life. Her father and daughter had immediately rushed in an autorickshaw and before they could do anything, Yashoda escaped from their clutches and jumped into the river.

Bantwal Rural Police have registered a case.
