Bantwal: WhatsApp message lands two persons in jail

Bantwal, Jan 12, 2018 : Two persons were arrested on January 12, Friday on charges of hurting the religious sentiments allegedly posting a message on popular mobile application WhatsApp .
Balakrishna Poojary (48) of Uppinangady and Sathish of Bantwal are the arrested.
Sources said Sathish is the group administrator and Balakrishna’s post on modesty of woman has hurt the religious sentiments. Messages were circulated in fake names; Mauri and Panolibail. They have been booked under IPC Sections 153 A, 354 and 504.
