BJP’s’’Yuva Jagruthi Rath’ flagged off

Mangalore, Oct 26, 2011: Vasanth Bangera Sorake flagged off ’Yuva Jagruthi Rath’ for Mangalore in front of the district office of the BJP in Mangalore on Oct 26 Wednesday at an event organized to publicize the BJP Yuva Morcha under the leadership of Kishore Kumar Puttur. 

In his inaugural address, Mr. Sorake said that the yatra hopes to provide clean and corruption-free governance to the people at the state as well as central level. 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Padmanabha Kottary, the president of the district BJP, said that the Rath will visit all the mandalas in these 4 days to create awareness against corruption among the public and to publicize Advani’s visit to Mangalore on Oct 31 Monday. The yatra also hopes to urge the government to bring back black money stashed in Swiss banks. 

Revealing further details about the yatra, he said that the yatra will visit 8 taluks in the state and will create awareness against corruption and urge for clean government at the state as well as central levels. 

The Rath at the Mangalore level will commence from the BJP office and will visit Vamanjoor, Pilikula, Bajpe, Kateel, and Mulky and will start tomorrow from Mulky. 

B. Nagaraj Shetty, the chairman of the Coastal Development Authority, offered aarathi to the yatra while Dr. Bharath Shetty of Yuva Morcha broke a coconut in front of it. 

Krishna J. Palemar, the district-in-charge minister; N. Yogesh Bhat, the deputy speaker; MP Nalin Kumar Kateel; MLA Captain Ganesh Karnik; Monappa Bhandary, the former president of the district BJP; Prithvi Raj U. B., the convenor of the yatra; Rajesh Shetty; and others were also present.
