Mangalore,Dec 31,2012: Dhananjaya Kumar, KJP leader, has challenged former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda to prove himself by winning the next assembly elections from Puttur.
Speaking to reporters, Dhananjaya said the words of leaders like Eshwarappa, Ananthkumar and DV Sadananda Gowda carried no weightage in the BJP.
He further said the KJP has set January 15 as deadline for the BJP MLAs and ministers to join the KJP.
Dhananjaya at the same time made it clear that the party would not consider those who would like to identify with it after the fall of the BJP government, which, Dhananjaya predicted would take place in mid-January.
On the BJP leaders claiming that their government itself would present the next budget, Dhananjaya said the question of budget presentation would not arise as there would be no government by then. He also stated that the KJP was strongly against the Netravathi diversion project.
