BJP Mahila Morcha to organize women’s campaign on Mar 4

Mangalore, Mar 2, 2013: Pulasya Rai, President of the District BJP Mahila Morcha has informed that the Morcha will be organizing a women’s campaign in all wards of Mangalore in view of the ensuing elections to the MCC.

Addressing the media at the party office in Mangalore on March 2, Saturday, she said as part of the campaign, Mahila Morcha members will make a door to door campaign  for the party candidates considering the fact that there were a  considerable number of women voters in MCC.

She said the Morcha will try to create awareness on the various programmes launched by the BJP government in the better interests of women. She claimed that  the BJP government has tried its level best to work for the welfare of women.

Pointing out that the party has given due representation to women, she said out of the 189 seats in the district for which the BJP is contesting, 73 are women candidates. In Mangalore 22 women candidates are in the fray, she informed.

District BJP President Padmanabha Kottari was also present among others.
