Annual festivals inaugurated at St. Aloysius College

Mangalore, February 1: Spin Out, a business management fest, and Art Beat – Ragon Ka Mela 2011, an arts fest, were inaugurated at St. Aloysius College on Feb 1, Tuesday.

M. Raghuram, the senior assistant editor of DNA, inaugurated Art Beat – Ragon Ka Mela 2011, a two-day arts festival organized by the Arts Faculty of St. Aloysius College in its Eric Mathaias Hall.

Fr. Joseph Rodrigues, the rector of St. Aloysius Institutions, presided. Art Beat comprises various events such as designing kites, mimes, dance competitions, pick and speak, musical events, water colour competitions, creative writing, collage contest, best personality, street play, cooking without fire, debate, photography, mehendi designing, quiz, and others. 

Dr. Mukund Prabhu is the staff coordinator of Art Beat and Anderson Fernandes is the student coordinator.

J. S. Shenoy, the deputy general manager of Syndicate Bank, Mangalore inaugurated Spin Out, the state-level inter-collegiate festival organized by the Faculty of Business Management of St. Aloysius College. Rev. Fr. Francis Almeida, the vice principal and campus minister of St. Aloysius College, was the guests of honour. Rev. Fr. Swebert D’Silva presided over the event.
