Sand Transport to KeralaAddressing a press conference in Bangalore, KJP President BS Yeddyurappa and former Public Works minister C M Udasi alleged that the government’s move to allow transport of sand from Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada districts was detrimental to the interests of the State. Yeddyurappa said the decision to allow transport of sand outside the State at a time when there was severe shortage of the construction raw material raised suspicion.

He demanded that the government immediately withdraw the decision. The former chief minister said that the KJP was planning to approach the court, challenging the government’s move.
