Mangalore, Jan 1, 2013: It was a kind and noble gesture on behalf of White Doves, an NGO. On New Year eve, Fr Sunil D’Souza. Parish Priest of Tannirbavi Church, blessed a new two-bedroom house constructed by White Doves for an economically poor family. The house is a New Year Gift to  the family of Francis, an auto driver, comprising his wife and three daughters.

White Doves had come forward to construct a house for Francis after the latter approached it narrating his difficulties as the landlord of his one-room house was forcing him to vacate. White Doves in  consultation with Fr Sunil decided to construct a house in the piece of land owned by Francis at Tannirbavi.

 

 

Corrine Rasquinha, Founder of White Doves, Fr Sunil D’Souza and  the Francis family were present at the house warming ceremony.

Francis will be returning half the cost of construction so that White Doves will be able to build house for another family.

Earlier, the White Doves had helped a poor man by building a roofing for his one-bedroom house and had even lent financial aid for the completion of the house of a widow with two daughters.
