Nashik TCS Conversion Case: Main Accused Nida Khan Arrested After Multi-Day Surveillance

Mangalore Today News Network

Mumbai, May 8, 2026: In a carefully planned operation, the Nashik Police arrested Nida Khan, the prime accused in the alleged TCS forced conversion case, from a rented flat in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after days of covert surveillance.

According to police sources, Khan had been absconding since the case surfaced and was finally traced to Kaiser Colony in the Naregaon area, where she had allegedly been hiding with family members, including her parents, brother, and maternal aunt.

Nida Khan Arrested

Acting on a tip-off, police teams used technical analysis and location tracking to confirm her presence in the area. More than 20 personnel in plain clothes were deployed around the premises and nearby localities for three to four days to avoid alerting residents or the accused. Officers reportedly avoided using police vehicles and uniforms as part of the operation.

Investigators said Khan was in touch with lawyers in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and was preparing to move the High Court for bail. Police moved in and detained her before the application could be filed.

Following her arrest, Khan was produced late at night before a judicial officer at Sutgirni Chowk, where the Nashik Police secured transit remand and took her to Nashik for further investigation.

Sources said five other individuals were present at the flat during the arrest.

Khan, a process associate at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) since 2021, is accused of pressuring several employees at the company’s Nashik office to convert their religion. She was suspended last month after charges were filed against her.

The investigation has revealed that she allegedly circulated Islamic religious books and videos to employees in an attempt to influence them. Police suspect the existence of a larger network involving several other employees.

Last month, Khan had sought interim protection from arrest citing pregnancy, but the court rejected her plea.

She is the eighth accused arrested in the case, while seven others had been taken into custody earlier in the investigation.
