Bengaluru, Nov 26, 2025: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that the blind women cricketers from Karnataka who were part of India’s World Cup–winning team will receive ₹10 lakh each along with government jobs.
He congratulated the players during their visit to his official residence, ‘Kaveri’, stating that Karnataka players will be awarded ₹10 lakh each and government employment, while the remaining 13 members of the national squad will be given ₹2 lakh each.
The Chief Minister also praised the leadership and performance of team captain Deepika, who hails from Shira in Tumakuru district. Ministers Laxmi Hebbalkar, Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Dr. M.C. Sudhakar, and the CM’s media adviser K.V. Prabhakar were present and extended their wishes to the team.
