Journalist Vijay Kotian chosen for Brand Mangaluru Award

Mangaluru, June 24, 2025: Vijay Kotian, senior reporter of Vijaya Karnataka has been chosen for the “Brand Mangaluru” Award given by the DK Working Journalists’ Association for reports reflecting harmony.
His report titled “Huli Veshakke khadar needida Asif” published in Vijaya Karnataka edition of October 2, 2025 has been chosen for the Award.
The Award carries a cash prize of Rs 5,001, a citation and memento.
A team of judges including ACP Geetha Kulkarni, senior journalist Jaideep Shenoy and Journalism lecturer Guruprasad had chosen the winner.
Vijay Kotian who began his career at Hosa Digantha had later joined Vijaya Karnataka where he has been working since the past two decades.
The award presentation ceremony will be held at Town Hall on June 25. City Police Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Reddy will confer the award on Vijay Kotian.
