Mangaluru: Second year BA student commits suicide at Talapady

Mangaluru, June 25, 2025: A second year BA student has ended her life by hanging herself at her house at Kinya in Talapady on Tuesday.

The deceased is Shreya (19). It is learnt she was facing mental stress and also was suffering from head ache.

A death note was also found in her room in which she had revealed that she was humiliated for her dark complexion. Another death note written by her in May said no one loved her and she should not live and her family was facing trouble.

She has also written “I don’t like this generation, so I decided to suicide,” on the cupboard of her room. It has been learnt she had failed in two subjects in her first semester.

Shreya was a quiet girl and rarely mingled with others, her family sources have revealed. She was a student of a private college in Mangaluru.
