6 months after lovers die by suicide, families get their statues married

January 19, 2023: A strange tale of love has come to the fore in Gujarat where a family got the statues of a couple married, six months after their death.

A man and his lover allegedly died by suicide after their family members did not approve of their marriage and they gave up hope. In August 2022, Ganesh and Ranjana were found hanging by a rope by their families in Tapi, Gujarat.

 

 

 

Following this incident, their families felt that it was because of them that they could not be together when they were alive, and in remorse, they got their statues made. The statues were married by following the rituals.

Bhimsingh Padvi, the girl’s grandfather, said that the boy was related to our distant family, and due to that, they were not ready for their marriage. But we saw that both of them loved each other a lot and so both families came up with this idea.

The families said that they did it to fulfill their wish and so that their souls could rest in peace.
